Don't move

"Don’t move” the poet said
“Don’t move. Don’t move.
Your perfect beauty
in my verse eternal.”

“Don’t move” the artist said
“Don’t move. Don’t move.
Your form exquisite
in my line forever.”

“Don’t move” the lover said
“Don’t move. Don’t move.
Your  heart exulted
in my heart for always."

“Don’t move” you laughing said
“Don’t move. Don’t move."
slipping like a silver fish
through nets of glass.

  1. Your beautiful poem could well be a song or a terpsichorean goddess dance. I imagine it would be the music Terpsichore would play. I think she would delight in dancing to > Don't Move.

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment. Yes, I can see Terpischore dancing to this, can hear the fading chords of the lyre.
The poem was sparked off by your quote from Rumi and your intriguing collage "Keep Walking" here
      So, thank you doubly.
